Just 1, For Now, Many More 2 Come

4tran has been through a lot over the past 2 years. We began things in earnest in 2023. We put our proverbial paws into many things. Perhaps at times spreading ourselves a bit thin. Our mistakes were good learning lessons though. From what we have learned we went about destroying it all.

We purged it all by fire. Nothing had been worthy enough of living on after the great fires. The only thing that rose up from the ashes like a Phoenix was 4tran. Most of the team has moved onto other things. I’m kind of the only one here at the moment. I have a couple of ol’ folks from the ol’ team who will be helping out but for the moment I’ve taken the wheel of the ship.

We would love to have new faces come work with us if interested. Right now we could use help with moderation in the Discord. Also we would be down to hear from anyone, like:

• Dev, of any kind. Just reach out and we can let you know more what we are looking for
• Possibly artists
• People who want to be PR and run engagement for 4tran with other communities and with our partners, should be skilled with English, good with conversation, good listener, and well-spoken
• Currently these spots are on offer as volunteer roles. There is no guarantee that 4tran will be profitable in any way. We actually don’t have any plans to make profit here with our ideas. Even if we were to deploy a token we wouldn’t be able to make a profit from it as we would do a completely fully fair launch. We do however if 4tran does get funding or if we open a merch store for instance that gave us an income we would use that to pay our volunteer members. And it goes without saying that people who have been with us longer will be considered for positions before new people. When it comes to hiring a volunteer it would always be a longer active volunteer before a less active for shorter period of time volunteer*

So What is 4tran?

We are a small independent company / LLC / grassroots start-up. Started in a small sub-sect of 2 college groups, chemistry students who were into it mostly to produce mind altering substances, and technology focused guys who all came together and with a shared passion for understanding we created 4tran.

Fortran — is the original coding language ever used IBM. It is still used to this day even by NASA who use it communicate with some of the first satellites ever launched into space that are still operational.

4tran to us means many things. We think of its similarity to 4chan and the impact that a simple IB could have on the entire internet. We think of the things that came from 4chan the hacker movements, the rebellion, sharing state secrets for lulz. We think of 2 is better than 1 and 4 is better than 3. We “Remember the rule of 4" — CZ.

Our mission statement:

• 4tran is an entirely grassroots company. Fully self-funded with no investments from anyone but the team that started it. We have no outside investors and will only allow companies directly related to us to invest in our future and those investments will always go towards paying people who work with 4tran and for rewarding the user base and growing 4tran.
• We aim to deliver some experiments. And depending on their success rate those may bloom into something more. 4tran operates entirely off the funding of the team and any donations from the community. For Now. So we don’t personally ever operate on the expectation of profiting off of 4tran. For us that is not the purpose behind creating and working on what we are.
• Community comes first. Earlier is always better.
